Giuseppe Olivieri stood already out as pupil by his artistic talent, because he portrayed his school buddies just for pleasure.

After the attendance of the Neapolitan school of arts he gained experience at the studios of some well-known artists. But his really teachers - as he underlines himself - were his elder brothers Guglielmo and Antonio: drawer and sculptor the one, painter and musician the other.

After several residence the painter is also known well beyond the Italian borders. Today Olivieri lives on Ischia. His exhibitions are organised mainly in Italy and Germany. Most of his artwork is located in private collections in Italy and abroad.

One of his best creations however one can find in the centre of La Tenaglia (see the sculpture on the right side). There "Beppe" - his nickname in Piemonte - is responsible für artistic advisory and the creation of artistic wine-bottle labels for limited editions. Olivieri also had put into words the life philosophy of his wife Sabine: "Il vino è amore."
